AeroBed

The AeroBed is made by Aero Products International. An AeroBed is an inflatable bed that contains a self inflating pump. When fully inflated, the AeroBed functions similar to a real mattress. When deflated, the AeroBed turns into the size of a backpack and can be easily carried or placed away.

The AeroBed was developed in the early 1990s and featured a way to inflate and deflate a mattress without a manual pump. At that time, the inflatable beds in the market were almost toys having the user to carry a pump and manually inflate the bed. Additionally, those inflatable mattresses offered no support for the back. The AeroBed was revolutionary in that an electric pump was housed inside the mattress and was able to inflate the mattress in less than 60 seconds. If two people were to sleep on the mattress and one person got up to go to the restroom, the AeroBed would keep the mattress firm for the other person.
