Karaoke MachineA karaoke machine is a device that allows someone to sing karaoke at their home, in a restaurant or karaoke bar. A karaoke machine consists of an audio input (usually in the form of two microphones), ability to mix human voice input with a soundtrack, ability to alter the pitch of the soundtrack and an audio output.Karaoke machines are popular at bars and restaurants for entertainment. Karaoke machines can play a variety of disk formats including CD+G, VCD, and DVD. A very simple karaoke machine will have only the lyrics without any other graphics on a small screen. More fancy Karaoke clubs will have special rooms with large screens where the lyrics are shown to a music video. Karaoke systems have improved over time. Some of the older karaoke machines muffled out the voice track in a song. Now with music specifically designed for karaoke, you have access to only the music of a song. Additionally, newer features allow you to put in a faint voice to help you sing along in case you are not familiar with the song. Keep in mind that professional karaoke systems for public places do have special features. For example, the speakers are designed to project voice so people can hear you sing. A karaoke machine can be purchased and set up in a variety of ways depending on your needs. If you have a single room such as the main area of a bar and don’t want to purchase separate components, then you may want to go with a karaoke system that is an all in one package. These karaoke systems include the speakers, microphones, amplifiers, player and mixers all built in. All you need to do is connect the karaoke machine to a monitor and you are set. If you have multiple rooms that you want to install karaoke machines, then you want to buy it using separate components since you want to customize the set up. You may want to invest in a karaoke system where multiple rooms can share the same disc or music source via software storage. If you are buying a karaoke machine for your home, you will want to buy one that connects to your existing stereo system and TV. It does not make sense to buy a stand alone karaoke system unless you want the portability. For example, if you want to take the system out to your patio or some other place, then you want to get a portable karaoke machine. |
