First, you should choose the school where you plan to work as most medical assistant schools have good local placement with medical offices. Second, you need to find ones which teach specific classes you are interested. As a general rule of thumb, start by being a generalist so that you get exposure to many areas of medical assistant curriculum. Once you figure out what you like, you can always specialize in that field. Most medical assistant study programs have most of the popular courses available. Finally, you need to talk to the career placement office and ask them for references of their graduates. You should talk to the medical assistant graduates and find out where they have been placed.
