This way, you get both the feature of a darkening shade when you need it and a beautiful colorful translucent or semi-transparent window shade. Make sure you do your research as there are many manufacturers of window shades and ask the manufacturer about what you need to do to maintain the window shades such as cleaning and dusting. The worst thing is to buy a window shade that fades or is hard to keep it looking like the condition the new window shade came in.
